Homestead, FLA. - Keys Gate Charter High School, has a future phenom that still has four years of prep eligibility remaining, named Torey "Scooter" Morrison. The eighth-grade dual-threat star, that stands 5-foot-9, 145lbs. is taking high school football by storm for the 2016 season.

The class of 2021 dual-threat quarterback ranks No. 5 in Miami-Dade County 5A-Ind classification in passing yards and No. 4 in passing touchdowns as well as No. 19 overall in Miami-Dade County in passing. Which is really impressive considering the past two games, he was named the full-time starter, after splitting first-team reps through the first four games of the season. Morrison threw two touchdowns in the kickoff classic vs. Coral Gables, who's currently undefeated entering week 8.

Morrison's first varsity start against none other, the 4A defending state champions, Miami Booker T. Washington. Morrison went 10-for-22, 140 yards and 6 rushes for 30 yards. Morrison, recently threw for 29/49 for 278 yards and 1 TD vs. powerhouse Bolles (Jacksonville, FL).

The 7th grader, also earned War Zone Tournament overall Most Valuable Player award, which speak volumes of his leadership, decision-making and accuracy.

Morrison also made the Florida vs. Georgia All-Stars Game as a wide receiver. He's certainly a versatile athlete. Generation Nexxt's Skills Challenge - Morrison dominated his age group and wanted to move up with the eighth-graders. He finished as the Top 5 wide receiver and beat several notable names during 1-on-1's. Morrison spark rating was the highest amongst all class of 2021 participants. Strength/Speed

Despite a slim stature, Morrison can surprisingly bench press 195lbs and squat 245lbs. He jumps a 31.0 vertical jump and was hand-timed in the 4.7 neighborhood. The Knights' has only asked the Morrison to play primarily quarterback this season with limited time at wide receiver on the season.

He's a certain a jack-of-all-trades. Morrison is someone, I can see earning a 4-Star rating as an athlete or dual-threat quarterback all said-and-done. He's not limited at quarterback. He's just as good at wide receiver, returner and defensive back.

Interview - Florida Int' University - Freshman QB Maurice Alexander (The uncle of Torey Morrison)

Scooter, honestly reminds me of you (Maurice Alexander), but just a little bit more athletic at this stage. How do you help your nephew, remain humble? And improve his game year-to-year? "I talk to him everyday, I tell him to just take it one day at a time, and focus on what's important now. I also tell him, to keep working hard, because it's always somebody out there trying to outwork you", said Alexander.
