Falcons' RB Santana Wooten joins the Player of the Week club, alongside difference maker QB Taro

Another exciting week of high school football in South Florida, has come and gone. The wait is over, it's time to find out, which freshman changed the game over heavily contributed. Below are the names of the top freshmen of the week in South Florida.

This past week, freshmen return specialist Jalen Brown (Gulliver Prep) and Michael Caldwell (St. Brendan) -- both raced over 90 plus yards, returning a kick off return for a touchdown. Here's a note, Brown has returned two kick off returns for touchdowns this season and ranks No. 2 overall in receiving for his district, per Maxpreps.

Miami Northwestern is a talented and scrappy team, which are two words that perfectly, describe their future phenom freshman quarterback Taron "Tyger" Dickens. All he does is win. The Bulls found themselves, trailing during halftime to Miami Central, and the mixture of Dickens decision-making and arm talent, resulted in a comeback victory. Tyger, wrapped up the ball game with impressive stats, as he went 16-23 for 203 yards and 2 touchdowns. Congratulations on being named Rising Stars co-offensive Player of the Week.

Palmer Trinity feshman running back Santana Wooden, is starting to make some noise statically. The small school emerging star, ran wild versus Palm Glades Prep. Wooden was the main reason for the lopsided victory, as he ran for 132 yards and 4 touchdowns. Here's a note, Wooden started at defensive line for Palmetto Raiders back-to-back (2017 & 2018) Div. 1 national championship squad.

Gulliver Prep running back Sedrick Irvin Jr., continues to make a splash -- when his number is called this season. The freshman who currently holds five D-1 FBS offers in counting, averaged a jaw-dropping 18.1 yards per carry versus North Broward Prep. Irvin Jr. ran for 107 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns on just seven attempts.

Southwest Miami freshman defensive end Lamont Green Jr. is approaching 10 quarterback sacks on the season, after tallying 2 sacks versus Miami Killian. Green Jr., has everything in his corner when it comes to recruiting. When you factor is mindset to always want to improve, measurables, stats, and bloodline -- chances are, he's going to be ranked top 250 come his senior year.

American Heritage Plantation freshman linebacker David Vadala is making it known, he's a consistent difference maker on the Patriots defense, regardless of the opponent. Vadala was responsible for 9 tackles, 1 sack, and 2 TFLs vs. Cardinal Gibbons. Congratulations on being named Rising Stars defensive Player of the Week.

Running back Ryan Bullard of St. Brendan HS complied 110 yards rushing on just 12 touches and scored two touchdowns. Here's a note, Bullard has 15 touchdowns on the season after last week performance. He also contributed, defensively, with five tackles. Bullard is one of the best kept secrets in high school, for second year program St.  Brendan

Miami Christian freshman slot receiver Nathaniel "Ray Ray" Joseph, the No. 1 ranked Southwest Miami-Dade County class of 2023 athlete per Rising Stars, shined versus state contender University School. Ray Ray pulled in 8 receptions for 112 yards and 1 touchdown.
