Spring Football Hidden Gems: South Florida's (Class of 2017) Top 10 Defensive backs

South Florida's class of 2017 -- have a bundle of nationally recognized secondary guys. For example, Billy Gibson Jr. (Miami Southridge), Naytron Culpepper (Miami Carol City) and Daniel Wright (Cardinal Gibbons). But, everyone knows this particular area, produces more division one prospects than most state's. College football coaches, here's a list of the top under-the-radar secondary guys heading into spring football.

Top 5 Safeties

Coemba Jones, 5-8, 160, Miami Southridge

Perhaps the spartans' best athlete, pound-for-pound. All he does is make plays and stand out on the biggest stage. Coemba, has recorded over 100-tackles, three consecutive years and was named 1st team All-Dade County, this past fall. Despite, standing 5-foot-8, he holds one offer from Temple and was responsible for 130 - Tackles, 3 - FF, 3 - FR and 2 - Interceptions.

Kristopher Moll, 6-0 185, Coral Gables

This off-season, Kristopher, displayed his athleticism, turning in a 88.29 Nike Sparq Rating. He finished Top 35 in Miami-Dade County in tackles. Along with six sacks and one interception.

3. Devonta Lopez, 5-11, 185, Mater Academy Charter

Devonta, is your blue collar type of athlete. He's also a stand out inside of the classroom. He can equally play both CB and DB. He's a division one prospect. Just watch his film.

4. Antwan Collier, 6-2, 185, Miami Southridge

Antwan, recently pulled in several D1-FBS offers, but he's still somewhat unknown regionally and nationally. He scored over 10 - touchdowns and caughg several interceptions last fall, lining up at QB, WR, CB, DB, KR and PR.

5. Marqui Passmore, 5-11, 180, Champagnat Catholic

Marqui, is a tackling machine. He can play both free safety and strong safety. He's an excellent tackler in open space, which is why he plays primarily inside of the box. He'll be a perfect fit, for teams who play their strong safeties, like a rover.

6. Aaron Chinchestor, 6-1, 180, Somerset Academy Charter

Aaron, projects as a strong safety at the next level. He finished Top 10 in South Florida in sacks and earned both All - Dade and All-State recognition. He sports a 4.3 weighted GPA.

7. Natron Grayson, 6-4, 175, Miami Southridge

Natron, holds an early offer from FAU. He's your long and rangy defensive back, college football coaches fall in love with. He can play any position in the secondary.

8. Sammy Laster, 5-11, 190, Miami Central

Sammy, junior season was derailed due to an injury. He's a young man that saw the field on varsity since his freshman season at powerhouse, Miami Booker T. Washington. He's a top tier playmaker.
