MaxPreps Freshman All-American: Miami Booker T. Washington 19' OL Dontae Lucas (6-5, 320)

This past fall, the Tornadoes' football program -- captured their four consecutive 4A state title. If you didn't know, on the offensive side of the ball, the Tornadoes' started two freshman at key positions -- quarterback (Daniel Richardson) and offensive guard Dontae Lucas.

The massive lineman, standing at a legit 6-foot-5, 320-pounds. Helped his fellow freshman quarterback Daniel Richardson -- earned 1st Team All-Dade, by allowing him to stay up right the entire season.

As a freshman, he challenged top-notch programs with major division one prospects at defensive end. Programs such as Miami Central, St. Thomas Aquinas, Gulliver Prep and Christopher Columbus.

Not to mention, he challenges teammate sophomore defensive end Jaquan Beaver (South Florida's sack leader) everyday in practice. He's certified folks.

Dontae also has bloodlines at the D1-FBS level. His older brother, Marquis Lucas started for South Florida's powerhouse Miami Central Rockets and graduated from West Virginia University.

Dontae, isn't your typical heavy footed lineman. He's actually a basketball player, that's transitioning into football. On the court -- the big man played primarily center. He won multiple championships, most valuable player awards and was named offensive player of the year.

Let's just say after starting varsity since Day 1, winning the state championship, adding offers from FAU and Temple and being named to Rising Stars All-South Florida Freshman Team -- he has a bright future on the gridiron.
