Miami Booker T. Washington Adds Hidden Gem: 17' WR DeAndre Williams (6-0, 173)

Nationally recognized high school powerhouse -- Miami Booker T. Washington landed perhaps the most electrifying, talented and unhearded playmakers in the Sunshine State this spring. Keys Gate Charter (Homestead, FL) junior transfer -- DeAndre Williams efforts and accomplishments went unknown last fall, due to the program not updating their football stats.

But, I'll fill you in on his eye-catching stats, off-season testing and bloodlines. Williams has both size & speed -- standing 6-feet tall and weighing in at 173-pounds. As far as his speed. He clocked an electronically timed 4.5 40-yard dash attending the Miami Nike Combine this off-season.

Last fall -- his efforts and accomplishments for Knight's clearing went unsung. Williams made game-changing plays on both sides of the ball.

On offense: Williams scored (12) receiving touchdowns and recorded over (500) receiving yards. Against, Homestead -- he scored (3) receiving touchdowns in a single game and scored a (37) yard touchdown vs. his current teammates, Miami Booker T. Washington.

On defense: Williams pulled in a remarkable (6) Interceptions on the season. The rising junior caught Interceptions vs. top-notch competition. He picked off passes from both Gulliver Prep and Miami Booker T. Washington. Which is two programs -- year in and year out with nationally recognized prospects.

Williams informed me -- he currently sports a 2.5 weighted GPA, but is working extremely hard on boosting it higher. He's also scheduled to take the ACT in May. His bloodlines are two current superstars at the collegiate and professional levels.

I'm sure you heard of the names Antonio Calloway, University of Florida and Arizona Cardinals, John Brown. Williams has proved this off-season that he can play on the big stage.

He has earned the starting job at both slot receiver and punt returner. He also the Tornadoes' 3rd fastest athlete. Florida International University, offered the hidden gem this off-season. Expect for bigger offers moving forward. He's someone that will earn stars and offers this fall.
