Incredible Hidden Gems Everywhere in South Florida: Wide Receivers

South Florida's Class of 2017 -- is loaded year in, year out at wide receiver. The better-known prospects for this upcoming season are guys such as Jerry Jeudy (Deerfield Beach), Trevon Grimes (St. Thomas), Kemore Gamble (Miami Southridge), Rodney Scott (Miami Southridge) and Kevaughn Dingle (Miami Carol City) -- are just a few notable names at wide out from West Palm Beach to Homestead. On the other hand -- you have talented prospects like Caleb Thomas (Miami Carol City) who is the next upcoming star -- who has waited his turn. Angelo Gonzalez and Edward Curry -- is your talented big and athletic wide outs that's extremely under-the-radar. They're both 6-foot-3 that can run routes and attack the ball at the highest point. Then you have the "do it all" or "all-purpose" players such as Kevin Romer, Alex Ortiz and Sharon Johnson -- who can play wide receiver and returner. That can turn nothing into something with their top speed and change of direction.
(In no particular order) ☆ Caleb Thomas, 5-9, 164, Miami Carol City Note: Played sparingly last fall, as the team 5th WR. Thomas, still managed to scored two touchdowns and rack up impressive numbers considering his role. This off-season, he was named a three-star by Rivals.com. Thomas was named Rivals Adidas Showcase Top 10 wide receiver this off-season and embarrassed well-known defenders.

☆ DeAndre Williams, 6-0, 173, Miami Booker T. Washington Williams scored (12) receiving touchdowns and recorded over (500) receiving yards. On defense: Williams pulled in a remarkable (6) Interceptions. He also clocked a 4.5 laser at the Miami Nike Combine.
Twitter: ☆ Kevin Romer, 5-9, 170, Coral Gables Note: He's someone that can make an immediate impact for someone football team at the next level. He started at punter, wide receiver, returner and cornerback. He possesses top end speed and recorded over 1,000 all-purpose yards and scored over five touchdowns.

☆ Alex Ortiz, 5-8, 160, Champagnat Catholic Note: The Lion's all-purpose playmaker. Found the end zone both on offense and special teams. He touched the ball (29) times for (815) all-purpose yards and (8) touchdowns (4-rush, 3 -receiving, 1-Kick return). ☆ Edward Curry, 6-3, 200, Archbishop Edward Mccarthy Note: Chaminade-Madonna transfer that didn't play last fall. He's one of the best kept secrets in South Florida. He's a AAU Basketball star and made the Florida Fire 7v7 football team this spring. Which speaks volumes. NC State is currently showing interest.. ☆ Angelo Gonzalez, 6-3, 185, Keys Gate Charter Note: He recently picked up his four offer from East Carolina University. The rising junior scored multiple touchdowns the past season at quarterback and wide receiver and caught one interception at cornerback.

☆ Murphy Theodore, 5-10, 165, Doral Academy Charter Note: The converted quarterback, understands how to get open and find soft spots in zone. Here's a note, he averaged 200 yards: passing, rushing, receiving (417) tallying over 1,000 all-purpose yards and over eight touchdowns.

☆ Victor Tucker, 5-11, 170, Miami Carol City Note: Started for an extremely deep wide receiver core this past season. Pulled in (32) passes for (391) yards and (2) touchdowns.

His the strength to play outside wide out and the change of direction to play slot receiver. His speed and big play ability, was limited due to a struggling passing game.

He plays quarterback, wide receiver, Returner and plays cornerback. He recorded over 1,000 all-purpose yards.. He threw for 316-yards, rushed for192 and 237-receiving yards; not to mention, over 200 return yards.

He lined at several positions: quarterback, wide receiver and returner last fall. His speed and change of direction stands out and he recorded over 500 all-purpose yards and 10 TDs (7-receiving, 1-rush, 1-pass, 1-return).
