Road to Glory: Garden City C.C. Juco All-American RB Lashone Garnett (5-9, 205)
Garden City, KS - The Broncbusters' inked perhaps the Top junior offensive athlete this off-season. By adding College of the Siskiyous (Junior College All-American) transfer running back Lashone Garnett.
The South Florida native, graduated in 2014 from Miami Southridge High School, where he accumulated over 1,000 all-purpose yards and seven touchdowns, while splitting carries his senior season.
He unfortunately, just missed the test score needed for his ACT to become a college qualifier and lost out on his D1-FCS scholarship from FAMU and several would-be D1-FBS offers.
After spending fall and spring of the 2015 year, attending Tallahassee Community College. Lashone, bulked up and lowered his 40-yard dash and opted to go the junior college route and suit-up for junior college football team -- College of the Siskiyous.
At College of the Siskiyous, he took California by storm. Being named a junior college All-American and adding to his trophy case, accepting awards such as Northern California Conference Player of the Year and 1st Team All-League.
Lashone, finished as the #6 overall rusher in junior college for both National Junior College Atlantic Association (NJCAA) and California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA).
The Broncbusters newly hired offensive coordinator, Stephen Shimko (University of Georgia's graduate assistant) and emerging star running back Lashone Garnett, expect a dangerous downhill running attack this fall from Garden City.
Inside of the classroom, Lashone sports a 2.6 weighted GPA and is on pace to graduate as a Mid-year qualifier (January of 2017).
He plans on using his 4.49 speed, to track down bad guys, as he informed me he'll major in criminal justice.
