The Next Cook


Miami Central High School -- Has another Cook in town. Remember the name, James Cook everyone. He's the younger brother of FSU star running back Dalvin Cook.

Cook, engineered Broward County All-Stars to back-to-back FBU National Championships, as a 7th and 8th grader. He also, earned the Iron Man Award -- given to the best two-way athlete in South Florida by Generation Nexxt and participated in Future Stars All-Stars Game: Florida vs. Georgia.

During the spring of his eighth-grade year, University of Miami pulled the trigger, as the first program to offer the future phenom. As a freshman this past season, James rushed 15 times for 178 yards and three touchdowns in the FHSAA 6A state final, leading Central to a 48-13 win against Armwood.

While shared the load, Cook still managed to find the end zone nine times this past season, on a 109 touches for 803 all-purpose yards.

As of today, he holds eleven early offers from the likes of FSU, Alabama, UGA, UF, LSU, Louisville, UM, Ohio St, Texas, UCF, WVU.

Cook, has decided to follow his brother footsteps, by recently pledging to FSU. The 3rd Team All-Dade County selection -- has another state title on his mind this upcoming season and not to mention, the rushing title as well.
