Keys Gate Charter (Homestead, FL) Class of 2018 TE Christopher Carter (6-3, 210)
The Knights' football program is entering its 5th year of existence and there's one particular underclassmen offensive athlete -- that could very well be the number one tight end in South Florida for the class of 2018 -- all said and done.
College football coaches -- Christopher Carter is the next rising star in Miami-Dade County. The 4A product -- isn't only is team returning leader in receiving yards, receiving touchdowns and yards per reception. He's also Miami-Dade County returning leader amongst all tight ends this upcoming season in the same categories.
This past season -- Carter not only lead his team in several receiving categories, but he also took care of business within the trenches. He finished #3 overall on offense in pancake blocks. His blocking skills clearly standouts. Which is where most tight ends struggle at the next level. Christopher stands 6-foot-3, 210-pounds and clocks a 4.7/40 yard dash and can leap -- with a 33 1/2 vertical jump. He was responsible for 265 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns -- which was impressive considering the Knights passing struggles.
The class of 2018 rising star -- handles business inside of the classroom as well. Carter sports a 3.1 weighted GPA and earned academic praises making the honor roll.
Carter not only contribute on the gridiron. He is his varsity basketball team sixth man. Basketball stats: 50 pts, 32 rbs, 22 assists and 7 blocks. Here's a young man worthy of college inquiries and scholarship offers. He's a major hidden gem with still major upside.
