Rising Star: Miami Booker T. Washington continues to add Hidden Gems 18' Linebacker Antquan Kins
OVERTOWN, FLA. -- The Tornadoes continue to reload this off-season with the return of legendry head coach Tim "Ice" Harris. Miami High class of 2018 transfer linebacker Antquan Kinsey (Pictured) -- is no longer the underrated student-athlete from So. Florida after arriving to Miami Booker T. Washington this spring. This off-season, Kinsey has collected FBS verbal offers from Massachusetts and Toledo.
The 6-feet, 200-pounder is like a GPS navigation system -- when it comes to finding both the ball carrier and quarterbacks on Friday nights. Kinsey, was responsible for 117 - tackles and 15 - sacks which earned him 3rd Team All-Dade County. Football is in his young man blood. Both of his older brothers play at the D1-FBS level: Aaron Kinsey, University of Massachusetts and Eric Kinsey, West Virginia University. Anquan Kinsey feels he will be well prepared for the next level thanks to his older siblings. He soaks in everything his older brothers shares with him from learning the playbook, how you carry yourself and most importantly, academics.
Speaking of academics -- Antquan Kinsey sports an astounding 3.5 weighted GPA. Which is even more impressive considering he's Advanced Placement student. He also informed me he'll like to major in engineering at the next level. The Tornadoes has added some nice additions on defense within the trenches this off-season with former Christopher Columbus defensive end Guy Thomas (20 - plus FBS offers) and now, Antquan Kinsey at linebacker.
