Miami Central (4-Peat State Champs) Continues to Reload: CB Khamal Ellison (5-11, 170)

The Miami Central Rockets -- has captured a remarkable four consecutive 6A state titles and this off-season, the talent pool hasn't dried up at the school located on 95th street. The Rockets newly transfer from Miami Northwestern junior cornerback Khamal Ellison is letting his game do his talking -- as he continues to turn heads this spring. Ellison isn't exactly an emerging star. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder holds an early offer from D1-FBS Cincinnati and losted his buzz -- when he missed the first five games of his junior season after an impressive sophomore season.

Once, Ellison returned from a broken hand. He allowed only one catch within five games which were against notable wide receivers: Miami Booker T. Washington (Raymond Flanders - Marshall commit), Christopher Columbus (Jerron Rollins - Cincinnati) and American (Anthony White Jr. 15 - D1-FBS offers). Ellison aggressive play at the line of scrimmage, along with his speed and hip-to-hip coverage skills, has earned him the respect from all three of the Rockets' D1-FBS wide receivers: Jernard Phillips, Terrell Perriman, Anthony White Jr. and Carmoni Green -- who combine for over 30 - offers.

All three wide outs would tell you, Ellison is the most challenging cornerback amongst them all this off-season. West Virginia, Vanderbilt and Louisville are showing heavy interest in the Rockets emerging star. Ellison sports a 3.2 weighted GPA and is awaiting his SAT scores, which was taken in May. The Rockets defense continues to reload.
