Early Enrollment: So. Florida's Class of 2021- Studs Playing Varsity This Fall

There's a trend gradually beginning to take place in South Florida. And that trend is middle school football players (typically in the eight-grade) forging their final season of youth or middle school football and going directly to varsity. This isn't something that's common. Only five notable eight-graders have started the fall on varsity the past decade in So. Florida. Those trendsetters were:

5-Star RB Sony Michel (American Heritage Plantation/University of Georgia)

3-Star LB James King (Champagnat Catholic/University of Miami)

3-Star QB David Thompson (Westminister Christian/University of Miami/Mets)

Class of 2019 -- Kenny McIntosh (University School) over ten D1-FBS verbal offers most notably Alabama

Class of 2020 DL Jesus Machado (Champagnat Catholic) over ten D1-FBS verbal offers most notably Alabama

Here's a note: Torey "Scooter' Morrison, Timothy Burns Jr., Khalil Brantley and Sirr Daye were all selected as the Top 15 premier Class of 2021 (7th grade) prospects in Miami-Dade County and Top 30 overall in South Florida (Pictured above).

College football coaches -- if you're looking for a cheat sheet or head start for the class of 2021 -- then I recommend you to make note of these four particular names: Torey "Scooter" Morrison, Timothy Burns Jr., Khalil Brantley and Sirr Daye.

Keys Gate Charter (Homestead, FL) ATH Torey "Scooter" Morrison (5-9, 150)

QB Torey "Scooter" Morrison 1st varsity start as a 7th grader this past spring vs. Doral Academy Charter. Accumulated over 100 - all purpose yards.

Scooter is best described as a jack-of-all-trades type of athlete, that happens to throw exceptionally well. Will he grow into a prototype quarterback? That's to be determine. But, one thing for sure is, he's a dynamic and explosive all-around athlete (QB, WR, CB, Returner) that clocked an electronically timed 4.9 40-Yard Dash as a seventh grader. Big time players, make big time plays correct? Scooter nationally and locally All-Stars Games -- where like regular games.

Miami Dolphins Dade vs. Broward All-Star Game powered by Generation Nexxt:

Scooter threw three touchdowns and sprinted 67 - yards for a rushing touchdown. Accumulated over 200 all-purpose yards. FBU Regional National Championship First Round: On offense, Scooter, threw three touchdowns for over 100 yards to future phenom Jaylin Collins. On defense, he didn't allow a single reception playing cornerback vs. Broward All-Stars (National Champions).

High School 7on7 Tournaments:

Scooter threw multiple touchdowns versus notable high school 7on7 All-Star teams in South Florida and was the only 7th grade QB/CB starting at the Pylon Tournament. Spring Football Game (Varsity): He started this past spring as a 7th grader and accumulated over 100 all-purpose yards. Scooter also lead his Pop Warner team (Florida City Razorbacks) to the Pop Warner Division One National Championship.

Doral Academy Charter 21' CB/ATH Timothy Burns Jr. (5-8, 150)

Here's a bold statement. The top cornerback in South Florida for the class of 2021 is no other than Timothy Burns Jr. from yes, Doral Academy Charter. Here's a talent that would play at nationally recognized local powerhouse programs such as St. Thomas Aquinas, Booker T. Washington and Miami Central once he reach the ninth grade, just to give you an idea of his game and athleticism. Burns Jr., has allowed only one touchdown reception in the last three years versus superior competition. That's also without safety help. Last fall, he captured his second Pop Warner Division One National Championship and was selected to Miami Dolphins' Dade vs. Broward All-Stars Game powered by Generation Nexxt.

The 7th grader, helped Doral Academy 7on7 football team -- advance to University of Central Florida 7on7 Tournament championship game. The youngster, also stood out at additional notable events such as University of Florida and the Miami Dolphins 7on7 Tournaments. Here's a note, Burns Jr., pulled in four interceptions this off-season taking part in UCF, UF and Miami Dolphins 7on7 Tournaments. He's another all-around athlete and can make an immediate impact on a team in all three phases of the game. He may be young, but his coverage, awareness and instincts says varsity ready. He also started this past spring on varsity and didn't allow a single reception and looked like he belonged out there with the big boys.

Everglades Preparatory (Homestead, FL) 21' RB/DB Sirr Daye (5-10, 180)

Daye is a peach state (GA.) product, that possesses a nice frame with solid speed, that loves contact. Last fall, Daye, was the top overall prospect in the National Youth Football League and also, was selected to Miami Dolphins' Dade vs. Broward All-Star Game. This past spring, the 7th grader in his varsity debut, carried the ball four times for 112 yards. On defense, he recorded over five tackles and made several plays in coverage lining up at defensive back.

Doral Academy Charter 21' WR Khalil Brantley (6-1, 160)

Brantley is a D1-FBS offer in waiting. He just like the other three guys mentioned (Morrison, Daye, Burns Jr.) was selected to Miami Dolphins Dade vs. Broward All-Stars Game powered by Generation Nexxt and also made an acrobatic grab for a touchdown into the red zone. Last fall, Brantley helped his Pop Warner football team captured the Division One Pop Warner National Championship lining up at mainly wide receiver and quarterback

This past spring, the 7th grader (1st varsity start) scored his first varsity touchdown vs. Oxbridge Academy (Spring Game). Brantley made several great catches and pulled in four receiving touchdowns this off-season attending UCF, UF and the Miami Dolphins 7on7 Tournaments. Brantley according to his offensive coordinator Cory Smith is already receiving interest from SEC programs: University of Georgia and University of Kentucky.

According to history, eight-graders who are extremely talented with good measurables, will have a head start in the recruiting game and most importantly, will have no issue adjusting to the speed of the game come next fall, when their graduating class enters high school. Remember the names this fall college football coaches: Torey "Scooter" Morrison, Timothy Burns Jr., Khalil Brantley and Sirr Daye.
