So. Florida's Impact Freshman: University School of Nova (FL) DL Jalen Reeves

Ft. Lauderdale, FLA. --University School of Nova coaching staff does an excellent job of coaching up their youngsters and having them mentally and physically prepared for immediate varsity action. Does these names ring a bell? University of Miami freshman wide receiver Sam Bruce and recently awarded 247sports 4-Star Athlete Kenny McIntosh. Bruce, took high school by storm as an incoming ninth-grader and last fall, eight-grade athlete McIntosh dominated varsity and earned over ten football subdivision verbal offers.

University of School of Nova landed multi-talented (DL, OL, LB, FB) Jalen Reeves from Broward County's youth football division one feeder -- Pembroke Pines Optimist Bengals. The 6-feet, 200-pounder was named to the Generation Nexxt's All-South Florida 1st Team last fall. Recognized as one of the Top 35 overall eight-graders from the talented rich counties: Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. Just to piggy-back from the last paragraph.

His current teammate' 4-star sophomore athlete Kenny McIntosh and Miami Booker T. Washington's soph QB Daniel Richardson were both named to the Generation Nexxt's All-South Florida 1st Team -- two seasons ago just to paint a clearer picture. Reeves, fall performances didn't go unnoticed.

The young man responsible for over ten sacks and a ton of pancake blocks, participated in the Miami Dolphins' Dade vs. Broward All-Stars Game as Broward All-Stars starting defensive line.

BRIGHT FUTURE

Did you know? The former HD Perry Middle School student, is also an All-Star inside of the classroom. Reeves, an advanced placement student in every class, sported an amazing 4.5 weighted GPA. Furthermore, Reeves, earned his school's highest academic achiever for science and reading. Just like high school football coaches tell student-athletes to finished strong, there's four quarters to play. His weighted GPA per semester was 4.0, 4.5 and 4.5 through the last four semesters.

The multi-talented, Reeves, has earned his stripes this fall on varsity by impressing both his teammates and football coaches. Reeves' accumulated (5) tackles and a force fumble in his varsity debut vs. Westminister Academy playing primarily defensive tackle and (three plays) defensive end, now that's big man football. The 14-year-old held his own within the trenches.

His growth is far from over college football coaches considering his age and father, standing 6-foot-4. He's going to be 6-foot-2 + and over 215 pounds all said and done.

Jerry Williamson thoughts on Jalen Reeves: "I love this young man motor. That's the first thing that caught my eye about him. He's also still peaking, which is scary. Reeves, just gives you a 110% every single play. He's another baller, that's going to be a ten plus offer kid all said and done. His academics will enhance his recruitment for sure. Keep an eye on the Sharks #57 this fall."
