South Florida's Scoring Leader: Miami Southwest 18' ATH Te'cory Tutson
Miami Southwest isn't your IMG Academy of the world, but the Eagles has bumped out an impressive share of athletes has walked the hallways the past few years and have signed divison one, and the school where it all started for Los Angeles Rams starting cornerback Lamarcus Joyner.
The Eagles two-headed monster Andre Stringfield and Te'cory Tutson is the best in the business, statistically speaking in South Florida by ranking Top 5 in rushing yards, Top 3 in scoring and number one in special teams scoring. While is understudy, Stringfield, holds two early offers from Kentucky and Southern Mississippi.
The 5-foot-9, 170 pound versatile athlete Tutson is someone that can certainly upgrade a college football roster due to his leadership, versatility as well as having the knack for finding the end zone. South Florida's leading scoring has touched the ball sixteen times within two games this season has found the end zone an astounding six times at running back (12 & 40), slot receiver (20 & 37), kick return (90 yards) and punt returner (65 yards). Tutson is responsible for 395 all-purpose yards on 16 touches.
Tutson is also delivering the same impact on defense at cornerback. He hasn't allowed a single reception and has one interception on the season. Tutson can play in all three phases of the game and make an impact lining up at RB, Slot, CB, KR, PR and Gunner. Finding the end zone runs through his blood.
His first cousin is local star and NFL All-Pro running back Frank Gore. Inside of the classroom he sports a 3.0 weighted GPA and is aiming to improve academically. He also the Eagles team captain. I'm sure a program can use a true student-athlete, team captain and someone who can lineup at six positions.
