Ft. Lauderdale, FLA. -- The No. 1 ranked 13U football team in the country, is led by eighth-grade pocket passer Nick Vattiato, who stands 5-foot-7, 135-pounds who just knows how to win and does an excellent job spreading the wealth to his wide receivers Robert Floyd, Vinson Davis, and ATH Jaden McBurrows.

Through seven games this season, (considering three teams quit second half) Vattiato has accumulated 23 touchdowns (22 pass/1 rush) within 24-quarters. Ft. Lauderdale Hurricanes 13U HC Chris Mcgonigal - Scouting Report of Nick Vattiato

"Reminds me of Drew Breez, can make every throw on the field and can read defenses better than a lot of high school quarterbacks, decision making is second to none and runs a no huddle wide open offense & is responsible to making pre snap reads and has the green light to audible the play to what ge sees the defense is giving us"

Vattiato is looking to finish his youth football career as both a Florida Youth Football League and National Champion.

Questions and Answers

1. Who influenced you to play quarterback?

A) When I started playing tackle football, I knew I wanted to be a quarterback. I watched a lot of NFL quarterbacks and wanted to achieve the level of play that they did. Two quarterbacks that I watched most often were Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers. Peyton achieved the pinnacle of success at the position and as a team leader. Aaron is a master of accuracy and still finds a way to have fun.

2. What high schools are you considering next fall?

A) I am not sure yet, honestly. I would like to play at a school that wants me to be on their team. I know that St. Thomas Aquinas, Cardinal Gibbons, and American Heritage are all powerhouse football schools and also have high academic standards.

3. Do you know what you’ll study come college? If yes, why?

A) For the past 2 years, I have taken a Law class at school and really like it. I want to eventually go to Law School so I will probably study political science in college.

4. Are you seen as a celebrity around school? Considering you’re both a league and national champion?

A) I would not say that I am a celebrity at school. A few kids I go to school with also play football and know that we have won both local and national championships and that I am currently on the #1 ranked team in the country.
