Class of 2021: Southwest Miami-Dade/Middle School Top 35 List
After hours of observations and scouting eighth-graders from the Doral to Florida City radius, I have either seen these playmakers perform in person or by watching hudl, and I promise you, these are the TOP 35 ballers -- South of Flagler with the exception of middle school student-athletes.
Dual-Threat QB Torey "Scooter" Morrison (Pictured) of Keys Gate High School remands at No. 1, especially after throwing for over 300 yards and 3 passing touchdowns vs. Homestead to end his "eighth-grade" season on varsity. Doral Academy CB Timothy Burns Jr., will play on Sunday's, he and Scooter, is without question the top offensive and defensive prospects for their class.
Richmond-Perrine Giants emerging star LB Cornelius Collier better known as "Fat Daddy", anchored the Giants defense and is certainly, the No. 1 linebacker in the region and I'm sure Top 5 in South Florida his teammate, Brashard Smith is arguably the top return specialist in South Florida. Kendall Boys & Girls Club (13U) defensive lineman Matt Balsera, continues to climb my ladder of rankings, after multiple impressive showings.
