FBU Dade (South) Tryouts: Top 10 Performers

The FBU Dade (South) Tryouts -- brought out quantity-talent, as the registration filled with well-recognized names who started varsity as eighth-graders, and youth football student-athletes who were the face of their league's or prospective teams. The coaching staff was second to none powered by a vast of head coaches and coordinators from the youth and high school ranks. University of Miami star defensive back Jaquan Johnson was also on hand, playing a role with coaching as well. Youth football players traveled from Clewiston (102-miles) and Coral Springs (53-miles) just to take make the cut for the Dade FBU All-Stars.

On the offensive side of the ball -- South Kendall Seahawks 12U athlete Bobby Bussey-Golden (Top Pictured) stole the show. It doesn't matter what league this kid plays in, he's a flat out stud. Bobby (seventh-grade) was the top overall wide receiver for Saturday's tryouts and offensive performer, as he routed both seventh and eighth-graders.

The defensive standouts were cornerbacks Timothy Burns Jr. of Doral Academy (Pictured above with Uni. of Miami DB Jaquan Johnson) and Marc Charlemagne (Palmetto Bay Broncos). Timothy, an eighth-grade high school starter, made it known early, the hype surrounding his name was everything as advertised. Marc, excelled during 1-on-1's and allowed one reception, after nearly ten reps. He's going to help someone varsity.

Everglades Prep (High School) running back Sirr Daye (Pictured above) standing 5-foot-9, 180-pounds displayed deceptive speed during 1-on -1's and looked great during 7-on-7's at linebacker. He recently bench pressed 205lbs and rushed for six touchdowns this season.

The sixth-grade group featured Westminister Christian (Middle School) running back Sedrick Irvin Jr. and Florida City Razorbacks (Jr. Pee Wee) RB Jaden Miller. If the name Sedrick Irvin Jr., rings a bell, then yes, he's the son of former Miami Southridge and Michigan State running back Sedrick Irvin.

Irvin Jr., speed, acceleration, route running and catching stood out. He's clearly more explosive than his pops already. Jaden dominated his age group and made the play of the day, breaking a defender ankles in open space during 1-on-1's. He's a home run waiting to happen.
