FBU Dade's 7th Grade Recap (3-0)


Gwinnett, GA. -- Dade dominates Tampa in FBU opener 21-0. The defense caused six turnovers and was responsible for six sacks. The offense spreaded the wealth -- as three different athletes scored touchdowns and put together over ten first downs through four quarters.

Second round face-off against Central Florida -- was a complete beat down -- ass Dade manhandled Central Florida winning in fashion, 35-0. The same three athletes Ghana Oboh, Jai-Ayviauynn Celestine and Zion Turner all found the end zone for the second consecutive game. Defensive Coordinator Torrie Cox -- hasn't allowed a single point in eight quarters and has accumulated over twelve sacks and several interceptions.

Third round action against Kentucky -- the defense allowed their first touchdown of the tournament. Dade's running back by committee Jai-Ayviauynn Celestine, Ghana Oboh and Jaquise Wright would muscle their team to victory.

Offensive coordinator Harold Jacobs has done an amazing job spreading the wealth on offense. A total six football players on offense scored touchdowns. Athletes, Jai-Ayviauynn Celestine and Ghana Oboh led the offense in big plays throughout the event.

Defensive Coordinator Torrie Cox work speaks for itself, in twelve quarters, the defense has allowed a jaw-dropping one touchdown. His defense is also responsible for 21 sacks and several interceptions. Defensive line Patrick Atkins and Kymani Williams were responsible for a large percentage of those sacks.

Goulds Rams (Jr. Varsity) ATH Jai-Ayviauynn Celestine

Game 1: Scored on a bubble screen from 30 yards out. Delivered three big hits, force fumble, fumble recovery and seven solo tackles.

Game 2: Caught a 40 yard touchdown pass. 60 yard punt return (called back). Over five tackles and three big hits.

Game 3: Three big hits and several tackles. Scored twice and all were called back.

Pembroke Pines Optimist (12U) QB/DB Jaden Williams

Game 1: One interception returned for 50 yards. Threw for 40 yards and rushed for 60 and one successful 2 point conversion.

Game 2: Interception and several tackles.

Game 3: Over 30 yards rushing. Two solo tackles and a big hit.

Ives Estate (13U) ATH Ghana Oboh

Game 1: One rushing touchdown and over 75 all-purpose yards from scrimmage. Delivered three big hits and caused one fumble.

Game 2: Scored three touchdowns (Fake punt, rush, kick return) and accumulated over 200 all-purpose yards from scrimmage.

Game 3: Over 100 all-purpose yards and one touchdown.

Liberty City Warriors (Jr. Varsity) QB Zion Turner

Game 1: Threw one touchdown and three first downs and accumlated 80 yards.

Game 2: Threw a 40 yard touchdown and scored his second touchdown (rush) from 12 yards out.

Game 3: Threw for 80 yards and rushed for 60 yards. 8 yard touchdown run.

North Dade (12U) DL kymani Williams

Game 1: Responsible for three sacks and eight tackles.

Game 2: Recorded four sacks and ten tackles for loss.

Game 3: Recorded three sacks and four tackles for a loss

South Kendall Seahawks (13U) OL Patrick Atkins

Game 1 : Responsible for four pancakes and two sacks and received rave reviews with his long snaps.

Game 2: Two sacks and four tackles and three pancakes.

Game 3: Three sacks and four pancakes.

North Dade (12U) RB Jaquise Wright

Game 1: Rushed for over 100 yards and was responsible for several first downs.

Game 2: Rushed for over 100 yards and 80 yards receiving.

Game 3: Touched the ball seven times and recorded over 50 all-purpose yards and six first downs.

Scott Lake (12U) WR Zaylon Thomas

Game 1:

Game 2: 5 catches 106 yards and extra point (Fade route).

Offensive line Spotlight

Dade's offensive guard Brandon Brana -- averaged two pancakes per game and displayed deceptive quickness when asked to pull and get to the next level. He and teammate, Patrick Atkins combined for over 15 pancakes within three games.
