South Kendall Seahawks 12U WR/ATH Bobby Bussey-Golden: The Next Star WR from Dade County
SOUTH MIAMI HEIGHTS, Fla. - 7th-grade wide receiver Bobby Bussey-Golden of South Kendall Seahawks 12U football team, is one of the hottest emerging play makers in Miami-Dade County. The native from West Perrine, FL has an array of gifted traits, that possess speed, hand-eye coordination, toughness and determination and most importantly, he's coachable and humble. The Rising Star has reached the end zone approximately (25) times -- in all three phases of the game for the 2016 season.
FBU Dade County's Tryouts
The 5-foot-7, 135-pound receiver, stole the show, as he displayed the route running, hand-eye coordination as well as strong hands that turn a number of heads as they approached me and said, "you were right about this kid. He's legit." while competing against the region finest on a Saturday morning at Richmond-Perrine Park. Booby, didn't lose a battle during 1-on-1's. The product from the Miami Extreme Youth Football League earned the Top wide receiver (among 6th-through 8th-grade) honor, and was named the Co - MVP alongside high school varsity starter, Doral Academy eighth-grader ATH Timothy Burns Jr.
Bobby versatility, helped the Seahawks advance to the second round playoffs. The 12-year-old, is responsible for two comeback victories -- out-jumping three defenders during overtime. Bobby, shined against the league's champs, Suniland Sundevils, stiff-arming a defender to the ground and racing over sixty yards for a touchdown operating at quarterback out of the single-wing formation.
Here's a note, Bobby scored touchdowns at six different positions (QB, RB, WR, DB, Punter, Returner) -- during the season that consisted of a (1) pick six, (1) passing, (10) receiving and (14) rushing. These eye-popping statistics didn't go unrecognized, as Bobby was recently selected to participate in Miami Dolphins 12U Dade vs. Broward All-Stars Game powered by Generation Nexxt.
All-Star Travel 5-on-5 Football (Ryan Football)
Bobby, hauled in seven receiving touchdowns and picked off two passes on defense in his first 5-on-5 football Tournament with Ryan Football. He's extremely excited about being selected to participate in Miami Dolphins Dade vs. Broward All-Stars Game powered by Generation Nexxt. Bobby, has shined during fall (MXYFL), FBU Dade Tryouts and 5-for-5 travel football, and he's eager to show South Florida his game this incoming Jan 14th at Traz Powell Stadium playing for Miami-Dade 12U All-Stars.
This young man athletic ability and game reminds me of 4-Star WR Mark Pope from Miami Southridge, when he was a Pop Warner athlete playing for the Palmetto Raiders. He's certainly a kid a head of his time and doesn't back down against competition. The seahawks didn't have the wide outs that allowed him one-on-one matchups, teams knew he was getting the ball and he delivered during crunch time.
He's still molding into a complete wide receiver, which is the scary part of his game. He will play this off-season for Florida Fire 7-on-7 football team as well after speaking to his family.
