Inside The Huddle: Nightmare 15U All-Stars 7v7 Football Team (Ranked No.1 in the SE Region)

The (15U) Nightmare 7v7 All-Stars football team as of today, is ranked the No. 1 team in the Southeastern Region. In their first year of existence, (27-4) record, Nightmare has secured their spot as a national qualifier, and has won three consecutive 7v7 tournaments (Pylon, War Zone and IMG) behind the play-calling of offensive coordinator Xaiver Carter (Doral Academy) and crafty work of highly-praised eighth-grade QB/ATH Torey "Scooter" Morrison (Keys Gate Charter) and co-starter Vamir Cadet (Doral Academy).

The 5-foot-9, 150-pound, Morrison, who's a varsity starter for Keys Gate Charter (Homestead, FL), has carved secondaries a part this off-season. He has thrown over 85 TD passes (within 30-games), which usually resulted in TD's from fellow class of 2021 prospects, wide receivers Khalil Brantley and Timothy Burns Jr. Morrison is your Miami Northwestern junior Chatarius Atwell of his class. He's (Morrison) undersized for a quarterback, but is fast and an exciting with the ball in his hands and can play wide receiver. He bloodline runs deep with UF's WR Antonio Callaway, FAU's DB Ocie Rose and FIU's QB Maurice Alexander.

Doral Academy freshman QB Vamir Cadet has spreaded the wealth as well, tossing 18 TDs in their recent IMG championship. The transfer from Everglades High School, is gradually making his mark as a signal-caller, after a solid freshman season.

Doral Academy's eighth-grade ATH Timothy Burns Jr, a junior varsity starter (zero catches allowed) and ranked top 10 nationally talent by Generation Nexxt, is your Lamarcus Joyner type of athlete out of high school. He's not the tallest, but he dominates on both sides of the ball and someone opposing teams must track on the field, before the snap of the ball. The 8th grader, have scored against 9th and 10th graders this off-season, and you tend to forget he's a middle school student-athlete, because he not only fits in, but dominates the competition. He'll be a 20 plus offer a kid, when all is said and done. He's also related to former Miami Hurricanes and Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Artie Burns.

Doral Academy has yet another elite eighth-grader, named Khalil Brantley, a 6-foot-2, 165-pound wide receiver, who picked up his first offer by FAU. Brantley, has made it known, when in doubt, just throw it up and he'll come down with it. For someone is frame, he runs smoothly and can stretch the field and does an excellent job boxing out defenders. I'm calling it early, based on accolades, size and game, Maxpreps freshman All-American.

The bloodline continues to run deep for Nightmare 7v7 All-Stars 15U football team. The sons of Frank Gore and Roscoe Parrish has surfaced on the scene. The two have recently transferred to Miami High. When teams lock on Burns Jr and Brantley, their blend of speed, change of direction and burst will equal a touchdown. Running back Shemar Paul, offered by Kentucky, reminds me a lot of Christopher Columbus ATH C.J. Henderson, who signed to the University of Florida. He can play both running back and cornerback and is lightning fast. Tavares Bradley (Doral Academy) and David Seralta (Miami Killian) have contributed their share of big plays.

OFFENSE

QB - Torey "Scooter" Morrison (ATH) - 5'9", 150

QB - Vamir Cadet 5'9", 150

RB - Shamar Paul 5'9" 160

RB - Frank Gore Jr 5'7", 160

WR - Khalil Brantley 6'2", 170

WR - Timothy Burns Jr (ATH) 5'9", 155

WR - Roscoe Parrish 5'8', 145

Defensive coordinator Dino Johnson, has arguably the top unknown underclassmen secondary in South Florida. For example, freshman defensive back Larrion Moss from Miami Booker T. Washington, who played running back on varsity the past season, stands 6-foot-1, 165-pounds and in my opinion, is the best looking safety for his class this off-season. He's fast, reads well and have great hips, I wonder will the Tornadoes consider him moving to defense. His size, speed and play-making ability equals D1 offers just off the eye-test.

DEFENSE

DB - Larrion Moss 6'1", 175

DB - Elijah Abreu 5'8", 145

DB - Harry Henderson 6'0", 165

DB - Isiah Finnie 6'1", 175

CB - Marcus Fleming 5'10", 165

CB - Wendol Philord 5'9", 165

CB - Dante Harris 5'9", 165

LB - John Joachin jr. 6'1", 190

LB - Jethro Joesph 5'10", 175

Sophomore cornerback Wendol Philord will be featured shortly, as my next Rising Star athlete. His play against wide receivers standing 6-feet (including with D1 scholarships) and notable underclassmen in general, has blown me away. He's very physical and will emerge this fall. His growth isn't over, he originally suppose to be in 9th grade and his father stands 6-foot-3.

Freshman CB/WR Marcus Fleming of Miami High (Rising Stars All-South Florida Freshman Team selection), is going to be a superstar. He has scored four touchdowns on offense, and has dominated on defense. Fleming was targeted 14-times at IMG and allowed zero catches (7 deflections). The top freshman cornerback in Miami-Dade this off-season.

Miami Killian soph. CB Dante Harris is another name that's surfacing. His play at cornerback along with Marcus Fleming and Wendol Philord underneath, is exactly why the Nightmares are well-respected. The cougars certainly have an emerging star in the making.

Freshman defense back Harry Henderson (Rising Stars All-South Florida Freshman Team selection) is arguably the top safety in South Florida, who can also play some boundary cornerback. Florida Atlantic Uni. begin his first college football verbal offer this off-season.

Another freshman that's surfacing this off-season against stiff competition is Doral Academy freshman strong safety Elijah Abreu. Known for his sure tackling and hard hitting ability, starting several games on varsity the past fall, is quietly making his mark at the high school ranks. He's fearless and comes from a winning background.

Washington Park Buccaneers (The Florida Youth Football League) eighth-grade defensive back Isiah Finnie caught several interceptions at IMG. He's seen as the top safety in South Florida entering the ninth-grade per Generation Nexxt. Linebackers Jethro Joseph and John Joachin jr. of Miami High has competed in a world not suited for a linebacker and delivered crunch time plays. Joachin Jr, sports an early offer from FAU.

College football coaches take full advantage of the names that are listed on this roster, they'll all make an impact this upcoming fall and eventually, nationally recognized recruits. Founder and director of operations of Nighmare 7v7 program, Jose Duasso has done an excellent job, just two-years of existence for varsity 7v7 and the first- year for the 15U football program.

HISTORY

History was made in 2015-2016, by Strong Arm Athletics. As Generation Nexxt sports journalist Darrien T. Green assembled the first 15U "super team" kids from Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. This group defeated varsity teams, which were all class of 2020 prospects (8th graders) and two seventh-graders.

The coaches consisted of Jacquay Nunnaly (OC) and co-defensive coordinators Torrie Cox and Central McClendon. The group won five out of six tournaments and was crowned the Southern Regional Champions. Led by playmakers Aydin Henningham, Jordan Cash, Jaylin Collins, The'Andris Freeman, Edwin Rhodes, James Williams, Louis Rolle and R.J Delancy.
