Class of 2020: Freshman in So. Fla To Keep An Eye On This Spring (Part 1)

Rising Stars will begin highlighting South Florida's emerging talent for the class of 2020 prospects. All prospects who are featured, made plays on varsity during fall or has made a name for themselves this off-season taking part in high school 7v7 All-Star football action. The list will shuffle over the next few seasons, regarding who's the best in the class. So, there's a great chance, someone featured on this list, could be the face of South Florida for their class come National Signing Day. Belen Jesuit Preparatory, Gulliver Prep, Champagnat Catholic, St. Thomas Aquinas and Miami Booker T. Washington all have emerging freshman, that are little-known, but if you follow Rising Stars work, you'll acquire and follow their game this upcoming spring.

2020 | ATH | Nathaniel Payne | Belen Jesuit Preparatory | 6-2, 160

The Wolverines have yet, another talented prospect for the class of 2020. Meet Nathaniel Payne, a 6-foot-2, 160lb, athlete who have started junior varsity since the seventh-grade, and earned meaningful time on varsity as an eighth-grader, contributing at quarterback, wide receiver and cornerback. He was responsible for over 200 all-purpose yards and several touchdowns for the 2016 season on varsity. The tall and lengthy all-around athlete, will catch college football coaches attention at cornerback and wide receiver standing 6-foot-2 and sporting a remarkable 4.0 weighted GPA, attending one of the most prestigious private schools in the country. The soon-to-be sophomore is one of the best kept secrets, despite holding a Bowling Green verbal offer. He's not tall, but his athleticism, physical play, speed and football IQ makes up for it. Hall Jr., started on varsity as an eighth-grader, and was the Raiders' No. 1 cornerback the past season. I love his attitude at cornerback, it's like having an extra linebacker on the field. Anton scored at running back and caught an interception on varsity. He's that undersized cornerback, that plays bigger than his listed size. The former youth football national champion saw time on varsity at running back his freshman season. This off-season, Larrion (Pictured next to NFL WR T.Y. Hilton), starts at defensive back for the nightmare 15U 7v7 All-Star team, which is ranked No. 1 in the Southeastern Region. The Tornadoes coaching staff, may experiment with him on defensive after hearing his little buzz. Moss, has caught several interceptions at safety and won several 7v7 Tournaments. Keep an eye on this rising sophomore as spring football approaches. He's also the younger brother of NFL pro bowl wide receiver Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Lions' underclassmen roster is extremely talented, and Rolle is another freshman along with WRs Mark Britt and johnquai Lewis (both offered by Syracuse) that will eventually surface on college football recruiting boards. Rolle, a starter for Florida Fire 15U, shined when his number was called, catching an interception and blocking a kick the past season on varsity. His style of play reminds me of Champagnat Catholic former graduate cornerback Gerald Robinson who signed division one. Rolle, will be asked to fill the role of 3star and Ohio University signee CB Devonte Mitchell. The once highly praised youth football standout, who sports a 3.9 weighted GPA, shined this past season for American Heritage Plantation JV football team (transferred to St. Thomas). He contributed in all three phases of the game. The three-way standout (offense, defensive and special teams) who plays wide receiver, returner and defensive back, will have to work extremely hard this spring playing for a deep and loaded secondary. I was informed he'll get a chance to play wide receiver. But, his size, speed and game, equals power five conference scholarship prospect in waiting. The starter for South Florida Express 15U 7v7 football team, has caught my eye at cornerback, and has the title in my opinion, as the early leader of Broward County's class of 2020 Top cornerback.
