Midwest Unsung Spotlight: Springfield HS (IL) 18' CB Jordan Dossett (5-9, 160)

The Midwest Region contains a plethora of talented football prospects, but what about the uncelebrated prospects with character, size, college testing, film and athleticism -- who are hoping for college football coaches just to consider evaluating their film. Springfield High School (Jacksonville, Illinois) up-and-coming senior cornerback Jordan Dorreset -- proved he can play against southeastern competition, which is arguably seen as the best in the country. Jordan dominated Stetson University Football Camp, (FCS) Football Championship Subdivision, and is gradually catching the attention of college football coaches. Jordan has added two verbal offers from Div. 3 programs: Coe College and Augustana College. The native from Illinois, scored a 1200 SAT along with a 3.3 cumulative GPA. Last season, competing against 4A state champion Rochester tallied over 250 all-purpose yards, 80 tackles, 1 sack, 1 FR, 2 INTs, 8 PD and 3 touchdowns -- as his team Swiss-Army-Knife. The three-sport star (football, basketball, track and field) who has earned all-conference and recorded a 23.6/200m. Jordan is currently receiving strong interest from Div.2 programs Quincey and St. Cloud. Jordan college interest is gradually moving up the ranks, adding offers from Div. 3 and now, strong interest from Div.2 Quincey and St. Cloud. He's certainly, a Div. 1 prospect at the FCS or FBS levels, that can ink on someone recruiting class, come National Signing Day as his film continues to catch college football coaches attention.
