Heavily Underrated: OL - Kaleb Boateng (6'5", 290), Ft. Lauderdale HS
By Jerry Williamson
Ft. Lauderdale High School (Fla.) hidden gem and massive junior offensive linemen Kaleb Boateng (6'5", 290) with an 80-inch wing span is heavily underrated. While offering eighth-graders are becoming a norm in today's society. Boateng has yet to have a recruiting profile to his name. With Div. 1 verbal scholarships by (FBS) Southern Mississippi and (FCS) programs North Carolina Central and Fordham.
The scholar, who sports a 4.28 weighed GPA, has earned Maxpreps overall Player of the Game and Kentucky's football camp and National Preps top offensive lineman honors. His film also shows him competing versus nationally recognized football powerhouse programs and dominating the competition. The unheralded junior has accolades, but of course, they have gone unsung. Boateng throughout 3-games this season is responsible for twelve pancakes, six shy of his junior season already, and hasn't allowed a single sack nor hurry.
He's currently receiving interest by Cincinnati, USF, Kentucky, Buffalo, and FAU.
Boanteng is certainly recruitable. Standing 6-foot-5, 290-pounds with a (PSAT) Practice SAT scored of a 1210 and an unweighted 3.3 GPA, expect for the Bobcats to be his next verbal scholarship. Boateng is a 1,000-pound club member in weight training (clocked a 4.7 shuttle) and has his name on the local charts in South Florida. He's ranked No. 18 (in Broward County) by Sun Sentinel and No. 37 overall in South Florida by South Florida High School sports.
