Wildcats' Hidden Gem Hybrid LB Djimitri Pierre-Louis Starting to pick up D1 Interest

Wahpeton, ND -- The clear majority of division one junior college football signers hails from the states of sign letter of Kansas, Mississippi, and California. But the Midwest region has a hidden gem from the state of North Dakota -- who's a part of the Class-of-2018 that hails from the Southeast region from the well-recognized area of South Florida. North Dakota State College of Science's sophomore hybrid LB Djimitri Pierre-Louis, standing at 6-foot-3, 230 pounds, has lead his team and conference in sacks the past two seasons when you factor games played. The North Miami Beach graduate, who earned All-County honors and participated in the South vs. North All-Star Game, has shifted over from the offensive side of the ball to defense. As a senior, Pierre-Louis added verbal offers by Illinois and FAMU. However, the scholarships would vanished due to the firing of both coaching staffs.
Before the decision of dropping Mendocino Junior College football program, Pierre-Louis turn-in a spectacular freshman campaign -- as he lead the American Pacific 7 Conference in sacks, and more importantly, finished Top 10 overall in California Community College. In 7 games this fall, the versatile linebacker who lined up at three different positions on defense, was responsible for 57 tackles (15 TFL), 8 sacks, 5 Deflections, and 1 fumble recovery.
Pierre-Louis is currently receiving on-going and strong interest by D1-FCS Northern Colorado, and including additional division one looks by Liberty, University of Ohio, and Sanford. In 18 games, the South Florida native has a total of 104 tackles, 16 sacks, 5 FF, 1 FR, 8 PBU, and 1 interception. The sophomore is lock and loaded for the next level come mid-year for any college of interest 2018 recruiting class.
As a senior, Pierre-Louis scored a 25 on his ACT (NCAA Clearinghouse #1305286626) and currently holds a 3.3 weighted and 3.0 unweighted GPA confirmed per Northern Colorado coach Mike Armour. Pierre-Louis is a physical specimen who's your true definition of a blue collar worker. He's always around the ball and does a great job shedding blocks against massive offensive linemen based on film study.
The former high school wide receiver has packed on a lean 230 pounds of muscle, and increased vertically as well by two inches. The once 6-foot-1, 175 pound senior, has evolved his game and frame into another division one prospect, but this time as an edge rush specialist, who can also play every position at linebacker. NDSCOS' defensive coordinator Eric Francis have spoken to Toledo, Georgia State, and North Dakota who have expressed interest in the Wildcats versatile defensive prospect.
Under the leadership and guidance of Eric Francis, the wildcats defense has sent recruits to play for the University of Florida, North Texas, and powerhouse FCS program North Dakota State -- over the years who were all unheralded out of high school. Djimitri Pierre-Louis has the test scores, size, film, and the drive and dedication that will help aomeone immediately this fall, as he'll be an all go for this upcoming spring football.
