Mr. Football: Pahokee RB Jatarie Washington

The small town of Pahokee, Fla., better known as the Muck. Has a long, rich and proven track record when it comes to producing both collegiate and professional football players. Pahokee HS junior running back Jatarie Washington is one of the best unknown prospects in the state of Florida apart of the class-of-2019. Washington rushed for approximately 22 touchdowns and was named the class 1A Mr. Football as well as carrying the Blue Devils to the state semi-finals. Washington, a International Baccalaureate program student, sports a 3.2 weighted GPA and scored a 1080 on his SAT. The 1st team all-county selection has yet to receive an official scholarship. But, according to his high school football coach -- Washington is receiving strong interest from from Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) programs Middle Tennessee State and Akron.

Washington was responsible for over 2,000 yards from scrimmage and has possesses next level speed. The 1st team all-county selection for both the Palm Beach Post and Sun Sentinel, as a sophomore he clocked a 4.46 and 4.44 at UGA and UCF football camps this past summer.  Washington made headlines against cross-town rivals, Belle Glades HS, where he rushed for 5 touchdowns on 27 carriers for 229 yards resulting in being honored as Miami Dolphins Player of the Week. After rushing for approximately 1,600 yards and averaging 153 yards per game, the Blue Devils team's Most Valuable Player is hoping someone extends an official scholarship and to end his recruitment process come the Early Signing Period.
