Tour of Talent: South Florida's Top 15 Offensive Lineman (Class of 2020)

By Jerry Williamson

College football recruiting coordinators are always looking to find next-level talent. While we won't speculate about where these potential future stars will pan out come National Signing Day, it's not too soon to take a peek at their varsity film and start to stack them as the top players to watch. Of course, there is still plenty of work to be done over the next two seasons to sharpen their game fundamentally, technically, and athletically. So, for the guru Offensive line coaches across the country, I didn't weighn too much on whether an offensive lineman maintain good posture and leverage throughout the block or does the lineman stay on his toes. After reviewing film, Jovens Janiver, Gage Gaynor, and Jose Mirabal just destroyed defensive lineman and anyone within their area on the gridiron. They are the true definition of road graders. Gulliver Prep center stood out the most at his position. Rising Stars' Top 15 Offensive Lineman in no particular order

Champagnat Catholic | OT/OG | Jovens Janvier | 6'4", 325 | @runitupjojo_70 (Twitter)

The Lions' first-team all-county selection and reigning class 2A state champion is a road grader that packs a punch standing at 6-foot-4, 325-pounds. Jovens Twitter handler name is @runitupjojo_70 and that's exactly what the Lions have done the past two seasons. Jovens is responsible for five different ball carries rushing for over 500 yards in season. Jovens, holding ten verbal scholarships, is without question deserving of national attention. Miami Norland | OT | Issiah Walker | 6-4, 260 | @walker_issiah (Twitter)

This is one lineman that will never have a college football coach question his toughness or strength of competition. Playing in perhaps the best district in the country, Walker has started varsity since the back end of his freshman season. Walker recently pledged to play college football for South Carolina.  Stoneman Douglass | OG/OC | Gage Gaynor | 6-3, 270 | @gage_gaynor (Twitter)

Gaynor's film instantly caught my attention. For someone his size and length, he gets out of stance quickly and finds his target and afterwards he's on his back or being drove up field. He recently picked up his first offer from the University of Louisville. South Dade | OG | Jonathan Denis | 6'3", 285 | @jdenis658 (Twitter)

The four-star recruit and the top ten offensive guard in the country according to 247sports is a young man I brought to light as an eighth grader playing middle School football at Keys Gate Charter. Denis boost over fifteen FBS verbal scholarships and has an outstanding work ethic for a big man. South Dade | OT | Jose Mirabal | 6'6", 310 | @JoseMirabal_ (Twitter)

Once, I throughly watched Mirabal's film my thoughts of his game has gone through the roof. It's safe to safe, he has the best run blocking film at offensive tackle for his recruiting class in South Florida. His speed for a lineman also standouts out. He moves like an athletic tight end from zero to ten yards. Mirabal should be nationally ranked in my opinion. St. Thomas | OT | Marcus Dumervil | 6-6, 300 | @marcus_dumervil (Twitter)

Dumervil, a four-star recruit, holds over 21 verbal scholarships in counting. The Aquinas superstar is recognized as the 24th best offensive tackle in the country according to 247sports. His recruiting process is basically over already.  Miami Palmetto | OG/OC | Kameron Darville | 6'3", 290 | @KameronD_71 (Twitter)

If you love size and upside then look no further than Pinecrest, FL. Darville, surrounded by seniors did an excellent job this past fall when you consider it was his first time ever playing organized football. Darville is a hidden gem for someone recruiting class when you also factor in his ten pancakes based on film. Everglades Prep | OG/OC | Jose Paez | 6'1", 300 | @nolimitpaez_ (Twitter)

Paez is one of the best kept secrets in South Florida. After reviewing his film, I noticed his versatility and athleticism. Pena, a three-year varsity starter, is an active lineman that finds someone to hit on every play. Chaminade-Modonna | OG | Joesph Habinowski | 6'4", 285 | @Josephabinowski (Twitter)

Habinowski carries his weight better than most will expect for someone his size. Pass rushers appear to run into a wall, when trying to bull rush him. Habinowski moves this big guy around a lot. I observed him trapping, pulling, and on several kick out blocks. Deerfield Beach | OT | Woody Jean | 6'4", 265 | @WoodyJean_15

Jean holds nearly five FBS verbal offers. From film study, he does an excellent job by both getting physical with pass rushers while keeping his weight on his toes. He has the frame and long arms that will attract additional offers down the line.

Krop | OT | Issac Joesph | 6'2", 265 | @IsaacJoseph52 (Twitter)

Joesph was responsible for approximately 21 pancakes the past season. The lighter lineman of the list is extremely strong with a wrestling background. Joesph is perhaps the most athletic lineman on the list. The rising talent is currently drawing interest from USF and FIU. Gulliver Prep | OC | Ernesto Cachon | 6'3", 260 | chacon @ernie__29 (Twitter)

His film at center was by far the best of his recruiting class in South Florida and having a 4.4 GPA, I'm sure helps. His ability to snap and quickly get to the next level caught my eye as well as picking up blitzes. Champagnat Catholic | OC | Alann Louis | 6'1", 300 | @Alann_louis (Twitter)

The Lions underclassman roster is by far one of the talented in South Florida. Louis is the little-known prospect of the group who has quiently stepped in day one as a varsity starter. His freshman year he started at center and slided over to guard his sophomore season. Louis has made back-to-back state championship appearances. St. Thomas Aquinas | OT | Marlon Martinez | 6'5", 285 | @Marl0n77 (Twitter)

The nationally recognized powerhouse has another young talent named Marlon Martinez who sports over five college football offers to his name. His size and athleticism certainly stands out, just validating his early offer list.

St. Thomas Aquinas | OT | Kyle Gilliland | 6'7", 255

When you factor in this prospect upside, size, and being groomed by a powerhouse program along with premier recruits. Gillard can skyrocket up the ranks in no time.
