Miami Palmetto QB Cairiq Rackley, one of the most underrated talents in Florida

By Jerry Williamson

Miami Palmetto senior quarterback Cairiq Rackley, a Florida Fire starter, is one of the best lesser-known signal callers in the state of Florida. Rackley has grown two inches and added 15 pounds of additional muscle to his frame, entering his senior year standing at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds. The former Pop Warner National Champion, has a winning pedigree along with accoldes and clutch performances. Rackley rises to the occasion in all games; even more so in big games. Against undefeated opponents Naples and South Dade (twice) he threw for 9 passing touchdowns and zero interceptions.

Rackley has tossed 46 career touchdowns (within 30 starts) and will become a four-year varsity starter this upcoming season. The pocket passer with sneaky athleticism, excels academically as an advance placement and honor student. The 2nd team all-county selection, sports a 3.3 weighted GPA and scored a 1030 SAT.

As a junior, Rackley threw approximately 21 touchdowns and ran for 3 additional scores. Rackley trains with one of the best quarterback coaches in the country, named Ken Mastrole

As of today, his college recruitment consist of one official scholarship from UAB and major interest from the likes of Kansas St, Cincinnati, Purdue, Ball St, Tulane, Valdosta St, UNLV, and Central Arkansas. Rackley has been invited to the Opening Regionals and earned top seven amongst over fifty quartebacks throughout the country at Ken Mastrole Quarterback Camp. The honorable mention all-state selection as a junior via Florida High School Football has bloodlines that has played for the big three in the state of Florida. His uncles are Trent Jones University of Miami (FL) running back, Florida State University linebacker Corey Collier and his father Charles Rackley, a University of Florida walk-on.

Rackley, pictured in Las Vegas, Nevada for Florida Fire, displays the ability to quickly scan the entire field to find the most open receiver along with a combination of great arm strength and pinpoint accuracy. He can learn an offensive system and run it with unfettered poise.

When you factor Rackley football IQ and arm talent along with playmakers out wide with exception talent such as Cornelius Nunn (Syracuse commit) and Jason Marshall (holds over ten FBS offers) -- Rackley has a chance to put up monster numbers and advance his Panthers to the class 8A state championship.
