2018 Rising Stars All-South Florida Freshman 2nd Team

The 2018 college football national championship game featured a number of South Floridians. Names such as Clemson cornerback Trayvon Mullen and Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy just to name a few. They both have something in common with every prospect that was selected to Rising Stars All-South Florida Freshman second-team, which is they blossom their sophomore season and surpassed the first wave. This past fall Rising Stars extended the underclassman coverage throughout the state of Florida and highlighted the next stars and decided to spotlight each playmaker on the second team. In 2018, Luca Stanzani from Clearwater International Academy showed that he was next in line. This kid should have been a high school freshman All-American. He threw for over 3,000 yards and 30 touchdowns. Quarterback Kevin Smith has the size and arm talent college football coaches love. He has the potential to become a 4-star if he can put it all together.  Miami Killian freshman wide receiver Ricky Bryant returned two kicks for scores along with an offensive touchdown and clutch like catches. Keep your eye on him. Wide receiver Jacoby Spells will be a household name with multiple scholarships.  Secondary standouts Dedrick Browder (Somerset Silver Palms) and Simion Hines (South plantation) both are going to be names to circle on your calendar as their body continues to physically mature. If not for a minor injury Browder makes the first team. Defensive lineman Steven Shannon I believe can be a good one all said and done. He possesses good size and strength for a freshman. Miami Palmetto athlete Tyrone Maxwell is someone who can make a home on offense or defense. If not for upperclassman he also had a great shot at making first-team. The Spartans have another rising star next to Dante Anderson named Daniel Lyons who actually recorded five sacks when given his reps. Defensive end Deshawn Willoughby of Cardinal Gibbons is a tweener who does an excellent job against the run and recorded several sacks. 2ND TEAM OFFENSE
