Florida Fire 15U Top Performers: Atlantic DB Marquis Lymon steals the show

By Jerry Williamson The 9th Annual Florida Fire Tryouts isn't just your typical 7v7 All-Star football team. The founder Dennis Marrouquin has made the name a national brand and you can assure college-bound talent will come. The Fire certainly brought out the city and prospects throughout the state of Florida ranging from well-known to rising talent at Ted Hendricks Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Rising Stars was on hand to bring you the top performers from a showcase that featured a jaw-dropping 407 participates. Below are the top performers and the Alpha Dog (MVP) from the Florida Fire 15U tryouts.

ALPHA DOG - Marquis Lymon

Marquis Lymon, S/CB, Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic High School instantly caught my attention passing the eye-ball test. He's a big defensive back standing 5-foot-10, 180-pounds with the athletisim to play both cornerback and safety on Sunday. Lymon was aggressive with receivers off the line of scrimmage and stayed attached to them throughout the route. The 2018 first-team Rising Stars' All-South Florida Freshman selection at safety was a man amongst boys. Lymon recorded three interceptions splitting time at cornerback and safety. He's extremely fluid and poessess great anticipation and instincts but overall Lymon was the best player in the 15U group. Offensive MVP: Nathaniel Joesph, WR, Miami Christian

In 2018, the eighth-grade varsity starter was responsible for five scores and roughly 500 all-purpose yards. On Sunday at the Florida Fire Tryouts his varsity experience was evident versus his peers. Joesph was a force to be reckon with and was unanimously named the Offensive MVP of the event. He's a great physical player who has good size (5'9, 165-pounds) for a player in the 8th grade. Joesph was a matchup nightmare for the duration of the day as smaller defensive backs had issues defending his deep routes. He's got great hands and has the athletic ability to break free on any given route. He's also the younger cousin of Miami Central senior running back Lexington Joesph who signed to Florida Int' University.

FBU NATIONAL CHAMPION AND HIGH SCHOOL STARTER

Class of 2023 dual threat quarterback Keyone Jenkins (pictured above) an eighth-grade varsity starter from Mater Academy and FBU national champion competed with the varsity group and his reviews were great based on his feedback from multiple coaches.

8TH GRADE GUNSLINGER WITH SIZE AND ARM TALENT

Will Prichard (pictured above) is another star in the making who is apart of the class of 2023 that has the arm talent to earn significant time on varsity moving forward.

2. WR - Kameron Brantley, Northwest Boys & Girls Club (2023)

3. WR - Kendrick Smith, Miami Norland (2021)

4. WR - Jevont'e Adderly, Miami Christian (2022)

5. WR - DeAndre Tamarez, Dr. Krop (2022) Defensive MVP: Corey Riddick, CB, Palm Beach Central Following Marquis Lymon in the secondary the class of 2022 featured Corey Riddick an who travelled to make a name for himself, so much that his position coaches told him to relax, I know you can play. Riddick length was very disruptive as he lined up at both cornerback and safety. Riddick is very aggressive when he breaks on the ball and closes space between him and the receivers well.
