Rack City 7v7 Tournament Champions: Florida Fire 15U Fueled by QB Dylan Rizk

By Jerry Williamson

American Heritage Delray Beach 23' QB Dylan Rizk is making his mark this spring as the signal caller for national brand Florida Fire. The American Heritage Delray product lost in the semifinals at Pylon and bounced back strong this past Sunday with a Rack City Tournament trophy.

His decision-making and arm talent paved the way for Florida Fire this past weekend. Rizk played a pivotal role as he so often appeared confident and comfortable when scanning defenses finding the soft spots in zone coverages as well as throwing his targets open in man-to-man coverage. KEEP AN EYE ON THIS PROSPECT  Remember the name Nathaniel "Ray Ray" Joesph from Miami Christian. The eighth-grade (class of 2023) varsity starter is your ideal slot receiver that catches everything and knows how to get open. Ray Ray caught everyone off guard on the big stage, as he pulled in a simple drag route and took it to the house versus SFE in the championship game.

Ray Ray is worthy of an early verbal offer considering he scored six times on varsity last fall and earned the offensive MVP honors at Florida Fire tryouts. The youngster has yet to disappear against older and notable competition. Pahokee HS freshman wide receiver James Fields and Ashton Beck from Champagnat Catholic both contributed with their share of highlights with touchdowns catches and extending drives throughout the tournament. Fields standing at an eye-catching 6-feet as a freshman with wheels should gain interest from FBS schools this upcoming spring. Cooper City Davie Colts star wide receiver Marcus Williams is someone I observed and featured this past fall and lets just say he continues to rise to the occasion. The eighth-grader has averaged four touchdowns within last two tournaments.   DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS  The secondary earned their stripes this past weekend versus top flight wide receivers from all over. The championship game most notable play came from the hands of cornerback Jason Williams who interception gave Fire a two-point edge to take the lead and bring home the trophy. Nickel defensive back Jordan Julmis took away the opposing team best slot receiver which is the most challenging task on defense. Free safety Marquis Lymon, a future 4-star in my opinion, recorded several interceptions and allowed very few passes within his territory.

Tall and physical emerging stars Link Olibrisse and Eddrin Lollar both were on an island all day and their red zone production gave their team a high percentage to win every game. The victory on Sunday added the Florida Fire varsity football team second Championship trophy and 4th overall. The next stop for Fire will take place this upcoming weekend at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
