Underrated Studs: Florida Fire has another Rising Star named Blaine Anderson
By Jerry Williamson
Founder Dennis Marroquin has established a national brand named Florida Fire. His 7v7 All-Star football teams are assembled with All-Americans, 4-stars and overlooked game changers who just needs that push when it comes to recruiting.
One of those push prospects is Palm Beach Central (FL) under-the-radar upcoming senior athlete Blaine Anderson, who is hoping starting for a national brand and also alongside highly sought after recruits can spark his recruitment. This off-season Blaine Anderson (5-11, 180) despite nursing a sprain ankle took part in the Rivals Combine (Miami) and did an excellent job. His testing numbers were equivalent to a 97th percentile in the 40-yard dash and 95th percentile in the vertical jump based on the Opening Testing Results. Anderson certainly has the athletisim to play at the highest level of competition.
In 2018, the rising senior was targeted over a twenty times as the cornerback opposite of Under Armour All-American Akeem Dent (FSU early enrollee) and allowed just one score the entire season and just two catches for 25 receiving yards. Anderson is always around the ball, tallying 40 stops, 1 interception, 1 force fumble, 3 fumble recoveries, and 1 defensive touchdown.
As the team captain of Palm Beach Central the unsung star sports a 3.6 unweighted GPA consisting of five honor and two advance placement classes is currently receiving mail from Columbia, Cornell, UPenn, Princeton and Wake Forest. While most talented, but unknown prospects fear competition, not Blaine Anderson. He registered for the Florida Fire tryouts, which held over 400 participates, and earned his stripes against the cream of the crop.
Note: Anderson recorded five interceptions this past Saturday, which helped Florida Fire captured the Battle at the Bottom title.
Anderson (has ten interceptions in four tournaments) starts alongside two four-star recruits named Cory Collier and Jason Marshall, both ranked Top 5 nationally just to paint a clearer picture of the company he's surrounded by and is making plays with each tournament.
Dennis Marroquin, the founder of Florida Fire spoke highly of the unsung talent.
"Anderson is a turnover machine. He has a nose for the ball, very smart, and I love his attitude. He's a team player and someone will get a great talent and person", said Marroquin. Anderson is patiently waiting on his first offer, which I feel is long overdue. You rarely find young men from South Florida who answers you back yes sir. I certainly would have offered him on the spot, the first time I met him in person. He has been raised correctly, with manners and etc, and I'm sure someone will offer eventually. He's a great kid.
